Mission & Values

Manifesting the Connection is a registered, Non-Profit, Metaphysical and Spiritual group supporting the growth and discovery of individual potential in an open minded, accepting, welcoming, and safe environment for the sharing of spiritual and metaphysical ideas, concepts and beliefs to encourage and nurture spiritual growth.

VALUES

We Believe:
  • Our purpose is to become aware, so that Source can flow through us into what we do and directs us as to how we can serve others and the Universe.

  • There is one loving Universal Presence, experienced and referred to by many different names.

  • We honour the journey of each individual.

  • We embrace the Now.

  • We believe we are amazing, Spiritual Beings having a unique human experience.

  • We celebrate our Oneness.

  • We encourage spiritual growth and expansion.

The intention behind this group was to create a spiritual community where everyone was welcome. There are many paths to enlightenment and everyone is on their own journey and their journey is unique to them.

One may not know what will be learned and from whom, but within a community of seekers, it is hoped that your journey will be supported and seem less arduous, when traveled with others.

HISTORY

On January 4, 2009, Lori decided to start a group where people could talk about their journeys and the various things they were learning. For the first few months we met at a local restaurant and quickly outgrew the venue. We moved to Tangle Creek which was more suitable for speakers.

In April 2009, Lori applied for Non-profit status and the first Directors Cindy, Tania and Darlene stepped up to help expand Manifesting the Connection. Quickly growing to 140 members within 6 months, it has quickly become a meeting place for people who are seeking the company of other positive, like minded people.

On September 16, 2009, Manifesting the Connection relocated to 4o Bell Farm Road, allowing the center to offer more classes and workshops on a regular basis. Completely run by volunteers, Manifesting the Connection presently offers weekly opportunities for learning and sharing of Metaphysical and Spiritual ideas.

MTC Facilitator/Speaker Guidelines
Manifesting the Connection was created as a non-profit organization that would provide the opportunity for people who were on a spiritual journey to connect and learn with others in their community. We have been approached by a variety of individuals interested in speaking to our members and we have decided to set some guidelines regarding this issue.

We would like to extend an invitation to the Manifesting the Connection group and beyond, for people who would like to present a workshop or series of classes that are spiritually or metaphysically based and follow our group's vision and guiding principles.

  1. All requests to speak are reviewed by the directors and evaluated against Manifesting the Connection’s availability of resources, our vision and guiding principles.

  2. Facilitators are asked to provide us with an outline of their credentials that indicates they are knowledgeable on the subject matter to which they are presenting and give the committee background information on who they are and their qualifications to speak on the matter. We ask that presenters indicate their public speaking experiences on their outline so we have an understanding of their abilities in presenting material.

  3. We require that the facilitator provides a detailed outline on the topic they will be speaking on for the directors to review.

  4. If the facilitator is part of a business, the topic covered should be done in a generic fashion, as we do not endorse any specific named products or services to our members. As part of a soft selling marketing opportunity facilitators with businesses can have their business cards, discount coupons and promotional brochures with them and at the end of the presentation inform the audience that they have this information available for people to pick up if they choose to do so.

  5. In the event that we have several individuals asking to speak on the same topic, we will review the documents provided and may ask for references to assist Manifesting the Connection in making a fair and equitable decision on speaking engagements.

  6. It is our policy to pay the facilitator 50% of the proceeds after expenses for this service, and the remaining 50% would be donated to Manifesting the Connection. This provides an opportunity to be of service and also create new connections in the community. Manifesting the Connection will provide advertising, organize and arrange payment for the class.
